After more than ten years of research, the new ironmaking technology developed in China can complete the ironmaking process in three to six seconds, 3,600 times faster than the traditional blast furnace process.

The technology triggers an explosive chemical reaction by injecting finely ground iron ore powder to generate high-purity molten iron, reducing reliance on high-yield ore and coal, significantly improving energy efficiency, and achieving near-zero carbon emissions goals.

This technology uses an innovative vortex lance. The annual output of a single reactor with three such lances can reach 7.11 million tons of ore, and the lance has entered commercial production.

China's steel industry is expected to use this technology to reduce costs, lower environmental impact, and contribute to the goal of carbon neutrality.
