According to Jim Beck, a spokesman in Alcoa said that Alcoa has closed its primary aluminum smelting mill (Warrick Operations) in state Indiana and the close was permanently.

Warrick's annual capacity was about 0.27 million tons, Alcoa said in early this year that they planned to close this 56 years old smelting mill because the mill cannot get any profit now.

Meanwhile, the company cut 325 jobs and about 1,100 employees will stay in Warrick Operations because the rolling producing line is still in operation.
