According to report, Saudi Arabia’s growth rate of steel production is at 9% during 2012 to 2015, aiming to meet strong demand from domestic demand.
 
It’s known that the country’s currently relays on steel imports heavily.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s steel consumption was at around 12.1 million tons in 2011.

In addition, it’s predicted that the steel imports will acquire high percentage in Saudi Arabia’s steel consumption since the infrastructure projects have increased and the steel prices offered by domestic steel mills have surged substantially.
