Yusco releases stainless prices for June

30 May 2008 17:34 reported by Eric Huang

A A A
Triggered by the slow demand and downstream mills asking for price cuts, Taiwan’s two main stainless steelmakers, Yieh United Steel Co. (Yusco) and Tang Eng Iron Works, have announced that they will adjust the domestic and export prices of 300 series stainless for June.

Besides, both companies will remain the 430 stainless steel domestic and export prices unchanged.

Stainless steel mills are now facing big operating pressures as key materials and input costs are still climbing despite a drop of nickel price. The move is in reaction to the current market and to relieve customers.
