Japan’s stainless steel exports rise in March

According to the latest figures, Japan exported 153,276 tons of stainless steel in March, up by 13.1 percent year-on-year but the figure decreased by 31.1 percent from last month.

China was the biggest gainer with 37,348 tons, up by 39.9 percent than the same time of last year. South Korea took 26,696 tons, increased by 57.6 percent from a year earlier.

Shipments to America dropped to 6,828 tons, down by 30.9 percent than the same time of last year. Taiwan boosted its purchases to 16,466 tons, up by 65.4 percent from a year ago.
