Tisco raises stainless steel export price to South Korea

China’s Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co. (Tisco) has announced to hike its stainless steel export price to South Korea for the first time since May.

The quoted price for December will increase by US$100/ton from previous month. The main reason for Tisco to increase price is basically because nickel price climbed from US$25,000/ton to US$30,000/ton in recent times.

"We will keep remaining our competitive prices comparing with Posco’s", according to official of Tisco. South Korean Posco has raised its stainless hot rolled and cold rolled coil by 300,000 won/ton (US$328).
