Posco to reduce 300 series stainless steel prices

South Korean Posco has announced to cut prices of 300 series stainless steel products by 400,000 won/ton (US$431.3), effective with 11 June shipments.

Therefore Posco's prices for 304 hot rolled and cold rolled will be 4.64 million won/ton and 4.92 million won/ton respectively.

This was the first time that the company to reduce its price since December 2005, the main reason is due to a drop in nickel prices.
