Chinese stainless flats prices down before Chinese New Year

13 Feb 2007 14:01 reported by Jacky Huang

A A A
Due to sluggish market and low demand, the stainless flats price is likely down before Chinese New Year Holiday.

Most stainless steel traders have stopped offering price before spring festival and some of them feel the stainless steel market is still looking good after holiday.

However, the current price of stainless steel remains high because nickel price is soaring since the beginning of 2007.

It seems the nickel price will not drop easier and remain high for first quarter of 2007.
