The largest Spanish steelmaker of stainless steel, Acerinox, is consolidating its presence in North America after formalizing the acquisition of Haynes International in 2024 for a total value of EUR1 billion.
Furthermore, the company will invest another EUR200 million over the next four years to expand the production capacity of its subsidiary NAS (North American Stainless) by 20% to strengthen its position in the US market.
Acerinox closed the fiscal year 2024 with 18% less revenue compared to 2023 in an environment marked by falling demand. However, it is committed to growth in the US market amid new US tariffs. Currently, 52% of Acerinox's total revenue comes from the American market.
