According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending April 26, 2025, the production of US’ raw steel totaled 1.706 million net tons, increasing by 1.4% from the same period a week ago and by 0.6% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 76.0%, hiking by 1.1% week on week and slightly falling by 0.3% year on year.

As of the week ending April 26, 2025, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ raw steel has amounted to 27.601 million short tons, sliding by 1.2% compared to the prior-year level. The capacity utilization rate was 74.7%, a year-on-year drop of 1.2%.
