Spain’s Transmesa invests EUR 15 million in Catalonia plant for hybrid and hydrogen vehicle stainless steel tubes

Transmesa, a Spanish company engaged in producing and processing automotive tubes, has invested EUR 15 million to expand its tube production facility in Sant Ramon, Catalonia, for the automotive sector, adding a new stainless steel tube production line to meet the needs of hybrid and hydrogen vehicles.

This expansion, supported by a nearly EUR 190,000 grant from Catalonia Trade & Investment, has created 16 new jobs, with an expected total of 35 after the complete operations.

Transmesa has added new machinery and two new buildings to its Sant Ramon facility, increasing its plant size to over 22,000 m2. The new line is expected to be fully operational in the coming months, boosting the company's turnover by 33% to EUR 80 million from the current EUR 60 million.
