Malaysia terminates AD investigation on imported wire rods from 3 countries

Southern Steel Berhad, a Malaysian steelmaker, previously believed that a large amount of steel would flow into the Malaysian market to avoid other unfavorable markets. Therefore, Malaysia conducted an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on imported wire rods last year.

Recently, because the complainant has withdrawn the application, Malaysia has terminated the AD investigation on imported wire rods from China, Indonesia, and Vietnam, which will take effect from April 15, 2025.

The products involved are under HS codes 7213.91.1000, 7213.91.2000, 7213.91.9000, and 7227.90.9000.
