International crude oil prices rise as US crude oil & fuel inventories decline

US government data showed that US crude and fuel inventories decreased last week. Moreover, the US proposal to impose tariffs on countries purchasing Venezuelan energy has heightened concerns about tightening global supplies. International crude oil prices increased on March 26.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for May delivery increased by US$0.65 (0.94%), reaching US$69.65/barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for the May delivery rose by US$0.77 (1.05%), settling at US$73.79/barrel.
