According to the report, Thailand's Department of Foreign Trade (DFT) announced that it will conduct anti-circumvention investigations into Chinese anti-dumping cases involving special iron pipes and steel pipes, in response to applications from domestic enterprises.

The investigation examines whether the products involved in the case, produced by China Youfa Group, were exported to Thailand through Tianjin Tianyingtai Steel Tube Limited Company to circumvent existing anti-dumping measures.

Before that, the Thailand government imposed anti-dumping duties based on CIF prices ranging from 3.22% to 66.01% and 3.49% to 53.88% for Korean and Chinese special iron and steel pipes in 2017, respectively. On July 19, 2023, Thailand's Anti-Dumping and Subsidy Review Committee resolved to continue imposing anti-dumping duties on the aforementioned products from these countries for an additional five years.
