Orissa Alloy Steel Private Limited, an Indian company engaged in the steel and Iron business, won a coal mine in Jharkhand on the third day of the tenth round of commercial coal mine auctions launched by the coal ministry on June 21.

The Kerendari BC North mine, won by Orissa Alloy Steel, has coal reserves of 600 million tons, with some of the mines to be fully explored.

NLC India, ACC, and JSW Energy (Utkal) obtained five mines on the first day of the auction, and Sarda Energy & Minerals and S M Steels and Powver secured two blocks on the second day of the auction.
