In March, Taiwan's imports of 300 series stainless steel cold-rolled coils rose to about 5,500 tons, the highest since August 2022. However, import volumes then decreased, with 3,500 tons in August and 2,800 tons in September, and a further drop to about 2,000 tons in October, a 27.8% decline from September, marking the lowest level since December of last year.

In contrast, exports of 300 series stainless steel cold-rolled coils hit a low of about 16,000 tons in February but surged to 51,000 tons in May, the largest volume in two years. By September, exports fell to 36,000 tons but rebounded in October to 41,000 tons, a 13.7% increase from the previous month.

For the first 10 months of the year, total imports reached nearly 35,000 tons, and exports totaled around 365,000 tons. Both figures have already exceeded last year's totals, where imports were about 25,000 tons and exports were 358,000 tons.
