Acerinox, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Spain, reported that the company’s melting shop production totaled 491,000 tons in the third quarter of this year, rising by 12% compared to the same period a year ago. The increase was due to resumed production at Acerinox Europa.

During the period, production of cold-rolled steel increased by 7% to 303,000 tons, and long steel output grew by 26% to 41,000 tons, both year on year.

Because of the challenging market conditions, Acerinox’s EBITDA reached EUR 114 million, down by 9% from the previous quarter and by 22% from the third quarter of 2023.
