Tang Eng raises 304 stainless steel prices for Nov to reflect production costs

Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd., one of Taiwan's main stainless steel manufacturers, raised the price of 304 cold-rolled and hot-rolled stainless steel products by NT$3,000/ton for November, and the surcharge of 316L products was maintained.

Tang Eng said the price increase was to reflect factors such as higher raw material costs, increased electricity prices, and exchange rates.

It was the second time that Tang Eng announced prices ahead of other stainless steel mills in the second half of the year. It was also the second time the company announced clear prices after the new chairman Jian-Zai Zhao took office, resuming the normal price announcement rather than taking a negotiation way.
