Brazil decides to impose AD measures on cold-rolled stainless steel products of grades 200 series & 410 from China

29 May 2024 15:38 reported by Stanley Wang

A A A
On May 24, the Brazilian authority announced that it decided to impose anti-dumping duty (AD) measures on imports of cold-rolled stainless steel products of grades 200 series and 410 originating in China. The AD for all China’s exporters was set at US$629.44/ton. The products under the measure are commonly classified in HS Codes 7219.32.00, 7219.33 .00, 7219.34.00, 7219.35.00, and 7220.20.90.

Last October, Brazil initiated the anti-circumvention review to investigate whether the existing anti-dumping duty on cold-rolled stainless steel products originating in China is evaded through marginal modifications. The petitioner alleged that Chinese producers and exporters circumvented the current AD measures by using 2xx series and 410 series stainless steel products to replace 304 and 430 stainless steel products in exports.
