According to the preliminary results of the countervailing duty administrative review, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) determined that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of steel concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) from Turkey during the period of review (POR), January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021.

Therefore, the net countervailable subsidy rates for Kaptan Demir Celik Endustrisi ve Ticaret and Kaptan Metal Dis Ticaret ve Nakliyat were assigned 5.54%. Colakoglu Metalurji was set 0.03% (de minimis).

Besides that, the USDOC determined that the following companies had no entries of subject merchandise during the POR: Ans Kargo Lojistik Tas ve Tic, Baykan Dis Ticaret, Kibar dis Ticaret, Meral Makina Iml Ith Ihr Gida, Sami Soybas Demir Sanayi ve Ticaret, and Yucel Boru Ihracat Ithalat ve Pazarlama. The measure was effective from December 7, 2023.
