According to Brazilian customs statistics, Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to around 189,000 tons in November this year, plummeting by 60.5% compared to the previous month, mainly due to a large decline in the export volume to the US.

During the period, the exports were mostly to the US and Europe, with separate volumes of around 103,000 tons and 72,400 tons, and the products were mainly exported by suppliers in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, and Pará. Among them, deliveries from the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo occupied the largest proportion, totaling approximately 126,000 tons.

In the first 11 months of this year, Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to roughly 3.5 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%.
