On November 22, 2023, the Australia Anti-Dumping Commission started the second sunset review of the anti-dumping (AD) measure on hot-rolled structural steel sections from Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan as per the request from Australian domestic enterprise OneSteel Manufacturing Pty Ltd ( trading as Liberty Primary Steel).

The AD investigation period is from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023, and the investigation period for injury is from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2023.

The products involved are under HS codes 7216.31.0030, 7216.32.0031, 7216.33.0032, 7216.40.0033, 7228.70.0011, and 7228.70.0012.

The commission is scheduled to issue the statement of essential facts on or before March 11, 2024, and submit its final report to the Minister for Industry and Science before April 25, 2024.

The involved enterprises from Taiwan exclude Feng Hsin Steel, TS Steel, and TS Steel.
