ArcelorMittal Tubular Products (AMTP) Europe will cease production at its Krakow welded tube plant in the first quarter of 2024 in response to changing market conditions and its commitment to reducing their carbon footprint.

Krakow's products are primarily supplied to the construction, water distribution, and scaffolding industries. The suspension of tube operations at Krakow's production facility is part of the company's plan to align its business practices with sustainability goals and contribute to a greener future.

AMTP produces industrial longitudinal welded tubes at its plant in Iasi, Romania, and has factories in the Czech Republic and France. The company said it is currently supporting production with other production units to avoid supply disruptions.
