Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod exports grow in Oct m-o-m

According to customs statistics, Taiwan exported around 9,100 tons of stainless steel wire rods in October, rising by 17.7% compared to the previous month, with a 3.9% higher average export price.

Among them, exports to South Korea accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 2,400 tons, a month-on-month surge of 94.8%. Thailand ranked second with roughly 1,500 tons, down by 10.4% month on month; followed by China’s 1,100 tons, up by 16.2% month on month.

In terms of imports, the volume was 864 tons in October, sliding by 20.7% from September, with a 3.7% lower average import price. Japan was the largest source with 490 tons, down by nearly 40% month on month.
