India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry launched the first sunset review on countervailing duty (CVD) on welded stainless steel pipes and tubes originating in or exported from China and Vietnam, following the application submitted by Stainless Steel Pipe and Tubes Manufacturer Association (New Delhi) and Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes Manufacturers Association (Gujarat).

The period of the investigation is from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 (12 months), and the injury investigation period is from 2019 to 2020, 2020 to 2021, 2021 to 2022, and the investigation period.

The products involved are under HS codes 73064000, 73066100, and 73066900, and certain products are under HS codes 73041110, 73041190, 73044100, 73045110, 73049000, 73051129, 73059099, 73061100, 73062100, 73062919, 73063090, 73065000, 73069011, 73069019, and 73069090.
