According to the preliminary resolution, Mexico has continued the administrative investigation procedure of the anti-dumping (AD) on imports of steel grinding balls originating in China, regardless of the country of origin.

The products involved are steel grinding balls, mainly used in the mining industry, manufactured by hot forming processes, classified under tariffs code 7326.11.03 of the TIGIE.

The investigation was launched based on the application submitted by the domestic company Moly-Cop Mexico, S.A. De C.V., which claimed the unfair international trade practices by China-origin steel grinding balls.

The period of the investigation was set from January 1 to December 31, 2021, and the injury analysis period was set from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021.
