US’ rig counts rise, Canada’s keep flat w-o-w

According to the report from Baker Hughes, in the week ending on September 22, the US’ rotary rig count was down by 11 units to 630 units. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas decreased to 118 units, and that for oil fell to 507 units. The total number had a year-on-year decline of 134 units.

During the same period, Canada’s rig count kept flat at 190 units compared to the previous week. Canada’s rig number totally dropped by 25 units from the same period a year ago.
