The Mexican Ministry of Economy (SE) initiated the fifth administrative review of anti-dumping (AD) duties on imports of high-carbon ferromanganese originating in China, regardless of the country of origin, to determine whether to extend the AD measure.

The review was launched based on an application submitted by Compañia Minera Autlan, S.A.B. de C.V. on August 21, 2023, with a proposed review period from June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023.

The AD duty was first imposed on September 25, 2003 with a rate of 54.34%. It was modified to 21% in September 2008 and has been maintained for several five years since then.

The period for the investigation is from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023, and the analysis period was from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2023.

The products involved are under tariff code 7202.11.01 of the TIGIE.
