The recent major strikes and layoffs at US automobile factories have a potential impact on Taiwan’s automotive fastener industry, which believes that this storm will not affect them in the short term, but the impact is likely to be widened if the incident continues to spread.

The US market accounts for more than 40% of Taiwan’s total exports of automotive fasteners. Taiwan’s related market participants said that they originally expected the performance in September to be better than that in the previous month, but now they are not sure about it.

It was understood that order taking is normal currently, but some US customers have asked to delay their shipment schedule.
