Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, announced its new prices for September. The company has hiked its prices for two consecutive months.

For domestic sales, the price of 304 stainless steel products was raised by NT$3,500/ton, 430 was hiked by NT$1,000/ton, and the surcharge of 316L products was up by NT$3,500/ton.

In terms of export prices, the price of 304 was raised by US$120/ton, and the 430 price and the surcharge of 316L were hiked by US$30/ton and US$100/ton, respectively.

Yusco said it made the price adjustment to reflect the increase in costs. The recent prices of main raw materials such as nickel pig iron, ferrochrome, and ferromolybdenum have been rising, and coupled with the depreciation in the Taiwan dollar, the overall production costs have hiked.
