According to Argentina's Steel Chamber (CAA), the national production of crude steel in April this year reached 429,900 tons, an increase of 21.2% compared to the same month of the previous year and an increase of 4.1% compared to March.

During the month, the energy sector was firm with good prospects for the short and medium term, while the mass consumption sector maintained its level.

On the other hand, the construction sector began to show signs of weakening, with fewer sales of cement. Also, the automobile sector showed a monthly drop of 11% and a year-on-year hike of 24.1% in its production during the month.
