Norilsk Nickel, a Russian nickel and palladium mining and smelting company, showed that in the first three months of this year, 45% of its revenue was from Asia, increasing by 14% year on year, while sales in Europe plunged by 23% year on year to 24%. The shift was caused by the Russian-Ukraine war.

Although the US and the UK imposed the sanction on Norilsk Nickel's top shareholder and president, Vladimir Potanin, the company itself or its exports haven't faced penalties. However, parts of Norilsk's partners do "voluntary sanctions" on Norilsk Nickel.
