According to the CEO of Usiminas, one of the largest producers of steel in the Americas, with major steel mills in Brazil, indicated that steel prices for some sectors, such as civil construction, might face readjustments because demand increases.

However, the situation is different in the case of car manufacturers. For companies in this sector, prices will continue to fluctuate depending on the market situation.

Usiminas negotiates with these companies every six months in order to get greater flexibility in price adjustment.

The company is making one of the largest investments in its history, including the renovation of the Blast Furnace 3 in the Minas Gerais plant.
