Germany’s crude steel production falls in Feb y-o-y

23 Mar 2023 16:10 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
According to statistics from the German Steel Federation (WV Stahl), Germany’s crude steel output amounted to around 2.99 million tons in February this year, decreasing by nearly 7% compared to the same month a year ago. The output has declined for 12 consecutive months.

The decrease in Germany’s crude steel production was mainly due to production cuts by some steel mills from the fourth quarter of last year in an attempt to improve oversupply.
