China’s stainless steel demand from household appliances continues to rise

3 Mar 2023 15:27 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
In January, the demand for stainless steel used in four major electrical appliances in China was 166,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 18.15% and a year-on-year increase of 13.56%. The demand weakened early this year, but growth was expected, which will support the stainless steel market.

It was expected that the demand for stainless steel for major household appliances will continue to rise in February. As demand appears after the spring festival, the demand will keep rising. The demand for stainless steel was forecasted to rise further in March, and the requirement will rebound to a normal level with the arrival of the traditional peak season of consumption.
