Taiwan's stainless steel scrap price increasing

13 Sep 2022 15:08 reported by Claude Tseng

A A A
Affected by the damage to POSCO's facilities, stainless steel prices stopped decreasing and rebounded these days. In addition, the LME nickel price also increased above US$23,000/ton. The recent recovery in the stainless steel market has added momentum to the buying of stainless steel scrap.

After the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the stainless steel scrap was hot and scrap dealers were so busy. It was expected that the stainless steel prices will be increased and customers are more active to purchase for inventories. Stimulated by the nickel rise, stainless steel scrap prices are all soaring now.
