China’s 300 series stainless steel price goes up due to inventory decrease

12 Sep 2022 17:07 reported by Stanley Wang

A A A
The 300 series stainless steel inventory in China’s Foshan market dropped to around 100,000 tons last week. Among them, the 300 series cold-rolled coil stocks fell by 8.18% to about 84,000 tons, which has hit a record low since October 15, 2021.

The market participant indicated that the 300 series stainless steel inventory has decreased since July. In addition, the stock was already consumed by 50% in April, which still decreased significantly last week. Therefore, this is one reason that makes China’s stainless steel prices increase recently.
