Ball Corp. and a private investment firm Manna Capital Partners are jointly building an aluminum can sheet rolling mill and recycling center in Los Lunas, Valencia County, New Mexico, with an investment of more than US$2 billion. Approximately 950 jobs were expected to be created in the region.

The construction of this project was scheduled to start by late 2023 and be put into operation in 2026.

PNM, the largest electricity provider in New Mexico, will power the facility with 100% renewable energy. The designed capacity was up to 1.3 billion pounds of aluminum per year, with planned recycled content of 85% after the facility is fully operational.
