Yusco & Tang Eng’s revenue increases in Jan-Apr, driven by higher nickel & stainless steel prices

Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco) and Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd., two leading stainless steel upstream suppliers in Taiwan, reported that their revenue grew in April and the first four months of this year, mainly driven by higher international nickel prices and stainless steel prices.

In the January-April period, Yusco’s revenue totaled NT$20.37 billion, and Tang Eng’s hit NT$5.478 billion, both up by 29% compared to the corresponding period a year ago.

In April alone, Yusco’s revenue was up by 4.7% month on month and up by 31.6% year on year to around NT$5.39 billion, hitting a new high since October last year.

Tang Eng’s revenue in April was around NT$1.44 billion, slightly down from March while growing by 22.8% year on year.
