Walsin Lihwa, a leading stainless steel wire rod manufacturer in Taiwan, announced to raise its new prices for stainless steel wire rods for April.

According to the adjustment, the price of 304 series was hiked by US$600/ton for export sales and NT$17,000/ton for domestic sales; 400 series was up by US$100/ton for export sales and NT$3,000/ton for domestic sales; the surcharge of copper-containing series was raised by US$100/ton for export sales and NT$3,000/ton for domestic sales.

The price adjustment for other products will be mainly based on the data provided by Walsin Lihwa.

Walsin Lihwa said that the price adjustment was to reflect the surging raw material prices, caused by the Russia-Ukraine war, inflation, and interest rate hikes.
