Canyon Resources to have talks with Cameroon government on Minim Martap Bauxite Project

Last week, Canyon Resources Limited, a famous mining company located in Perth, announced that they received the written notice from the Ministry of Mines to start the negotiation on Minim Martap Bauxite Project. This negotiation was expected to begin later this month.

SONAMINES, the Cameroonian state-owned mining firm, will also participate in this activity. The Cameroonian government will discuss several issues with Canyon Resources at the meeting, such as justification and scope of the Minim Martap Bauxite Project, taxes, State participation in the project, social and environmental obligations, and conditions of local employment.

Canyon Resources said that they had worked for many years to get this opportunity of negotiation. This meeting would be held in Cameroon.
