South Korea's stainless steel mills gain considerable profits in H1 2021

According to statistics, the sales volume of South Korea’s stainless steel cold-rolled sheets amounted to around 208,000 tons in the first half of this year, hiking by 16.7% compared to the same period a year ago.
Due to the growing demand in industries of home appliances, transportation vehicles, and construction during the period, South Korea’s stainless steel mills gained considerable profits meanwhile.
With the strong development of the economy and home appliance industry in South Korea, the sales volume of electronic equipment was up by 76.1% year on year. In addition, the stainless steel sales in the fields of construction, pipeline, transportation vehicles, and re-rolling operations had year-on-year increases as well.
