Taiwan’s Yusco hikes stainless steel prices for Jul

Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, announced to hike its new prices for July today (June 29). The increase for domestic sales was NT$0-5,000/ton, and that for exporting sales was US$50-200/ton.

According to the price adjustment, the price of 300 series was hiked by NT$2,000/ton, grade 316 was raised by NT$5,000/ton, and grade 430 was kept unchanged.

As for the export price, 304 was hiked by US$50-150/ton, and 430 will be subject to a price increase of US$100/ton. The surcharge of 316L was also lifted by US$200/ton.

Yusco said that the prices could actually be largely raised based on the current market demand and costs of raw materials; however, the firm finally decided to increased prices slightly after taking account of downstream buyers’ acceptance and competitiveness.
