China's crude stainless steel output slides in May m-o-m

According to the latest statistics, the output of crude stainless steel from China's 32 steel mills totaled around 2.79 million tons in May, falling by 3.47% compared to the previous month while increasing by 18.13% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the output of 200 series was around 790,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 9.21% and a year-on-year decrease of 3.27%; that of 300 series was around 1.52 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 7.1% and a year-on-year increase of 27.45%; that of 400 series was around 482,000 tons, a month-on-month reduction of 20.08% and a year-on-year hike of 36.07%.

Among the 300 series, the output of 304 accounted for 87.89% of the total output of 300 series, with roughly 1.34 million tons, up by 9.2% month on month.
