Acerinox, a Spanish stainless steel group, indicated that it was optimistic about the second half of 2021, with 80% more orders than in March 2020, 40% more than in March 2019.

The demand in all stainless steel consumer industries is good, and orders for alloys are also stable, which means that its VDM Metals in Germany will also start to recover since June.

In the first quarter, the output of Acerinox's smelter was 650,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 9% and an increase of 8% from the fourth quarter of 2020.

Acerinox mentioned that it is rebuilding inventories along with the supply chain consumer sectors such as automobiles, food processing, and household goods to boost demand and increase profit margins.
