US & Canada’s rig number hikes w-o-w

According to a report from Baker Hughes, as of the week ended May 7, the number of US’ drilling rigs totaled 448 units, hiking by 8 units compared to a week ago. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas rose by 7 units to 103 units, and that for oil rose by 2 units to 344 units. The total number had a year-on-year increase of 74 units.
During the same period, the number of Canadian drilling rigs hiked by 4 units to 55 units compared to the previous week, totally increasing by 29 units from the same period a year ago.
