Walsin Lihwa, one of the steel wire rod manufacturers in Taiwan, announced to hike the prices of its steel wire rod products for May.

According to the price adjustment, the price of 300 series stainless steel wire rod was hiked by NT$4,000/ton, and that of 400 series was up by NT$2,000/ton. The copper series price was raised by NT$5,000/ton, and the price of 204 Cu wire rod was up by NT$3,000/ton.

Walsin Lihwa said that the price adjustment was to reflect continuously rising international raw material prices, tight container situation, and surging freight rates, which sharply raised the production costs.
