Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, announced its new prices for November today (October 29).

According to the price adjustment, 304 hot-rolled and cold-rolled prices were both raised by NT$2,000/ton, the price of 430 was hiked by NT$500/ton, and the surcharge of 316 was kept flat.

As for the export price, 304 was raised by US$100/ton, 430 was up by US$30/ton, and the surcharge of 316 was kept unchanged.

Yusco’s decision to raise its prices was to reflect the higher costs of raw materials and consider market competitiveness. Market participants expected that Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd. and Walsin Lihwa, another two main stainless steel suppliers in Taiwan, will hike their prices for November.
