According to statistics from Taiwanese Customs, in the first four months of this year, Taiwan exported around 36,500 kilograms of wood screws, up by 12.81% compared to the same month a year ago. Among them, the exports to the US had a sharp year-on-year increase of 84.11% to roughly 13,100 kilograms.

During the same period, China exported a total of around 20,700 kilograms of wood screws, down by 22.07% compared to April 2019, and the exports to the US dropped by 2.38% year on year to around 3,800 kilograms.

The significant decrease in China’s wood screw exports to the US was due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, while Taiwan benefited by order diversions during the period.
