The Turkish government has announced that the additional import duty for screws and nuts from worldwide was mandatory since April 18th, 2020.

In this order, the Turkish government has firstly categorized global countries into different categories. Category 1 includes the EU, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), Israel, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H), Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, Egypt, Georgia, Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Montenegro, Chile, Mauritius, Moldova and the Faroe Islands. Category 2 includes South Korea, category 3 includes Malaysia, category 4 includes Singapore, category 5 includes countries who now have favorable tariffs, category 6 includes countries not fully developed, category 7 includes countries that have special subsidy measures, category 8 includes countries under development, and category 9 means others (e.g. China, Japan and Taiwan).

For China and Taiwan, now the total import duty was raised to 33.7% for all screws and nuts. This order lasted from April 18th to September 30th this year.
